Monster reaction table question

On page 19 of Book 1, the Moster Reaction Table roll of 9 says, "monster damaged last round it will attempt to escape"

I'm not sure what that means. Does it mean that as soon as the monster takes any damage, it will attempt to escape on each round until it does so, or dies? Or does it only try to escape once? Or after each round that it takes some damage?

Hi Victor, it is telling you, that if the monster took damage in the last round of combat, in this round its reaction is to escape. Next round it will roll for a reaction and it will change.

I see now, we roll for monster reaction before each combat round.  I had thought it was only once for the entire fight.  Thanks for clearing that up.
