I might be missing something... Because the bonus to bridge crew applies to CM, which seems to be used for all ship-related tasks outside boarding actions, is there any use for pilots, navigators, and so on? Dividing crew between bridge and security (for boardings) seems the only efficient way to do things. Is there a cap somewhere on how many crew get assigned to a certain slot?

I also have a question, i am not sure if this is how it should be played but here goes...
So from one system to another i hire 20 bridge crew, helps me jump +20, i go to the station I drop off the crew. I then hire 20 mining ops, and 20 pilots, i travel to an asteroid i mine and get back to the station. I fire the crew, sell my minerals and metals. So i lose nothing really by hiring crew members to exploit mining and jumping?
Ah, got it! That makes sense. In a project as monumental and detailed as this, it's no wonder some things get lost in the shuffle. It's a truly extraordinary game. Thanks!
Hi Zachary, so crew acts like a skill bonus and therefore each type has a 20 maximum. I read through the sections relating to crew, and it is sketchy. I only mention that crew act like a skill bonus. I will definitely need to make this prominent in the rules, and first update, I will clarify this. I thought I had, but it has been missed out, somehow. So each type of crew has a maximum of 20, like a skill bonus.
