The books for D100 Dungeon and D100 Space are now being published through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). The first of the new editions to be published is Book 1 D100 Dungeon; which is available now. I am currently working on Book 2 The Adventurer's Companion.
Rather than just republishing the same editions that are available from DriveThruRPG and their associated sites, I have decided to make them unique. The new editions (from amazon) have been reworked into a new book size of approximately 6"x 9" and are available in both softback and hardback. They are printed in full colour to a premuim paper: which is not too dissimilar to the paper used in the Collector's Edition (available from DriveThruRPG).
In the picture (upper right) you can see a rough size comparison between the book sizes available from DriveThruRPG to those available from Amazon; and to make a visual distinction between the two book sizes I have also changed the book text number from white to green (shown in the red circle).
The contents of the books remains the same, nothing new has been added or changed to the rules. I have also retained the original font size of 12 pt; and where possible retained a font size of 10 pt in the tables. So whilst the book has shrunk the text size has not. Keeping the text size was very important. I didn't want to just shrink everything down to a smaller (and hard to read) page. By retaining the larger text, the number of pages has grown from 74 to 138. You may also notice compared to the DriveThruRPG edition's some pictures have moved, or a few new ones have been added: This has been essential in order to rework the books into their smaller format.
All in all I am very pleased with the new book format and I hope you will enjoy them too. They make the game more flexible, and are perfect for travel; and will take up less space on your gaming table. They also have a nice chunky feel and should be more accessible to players around the globe.
With book 1 now published, I will be releasing book 2 The adventurer's Companion soon, and then onto Book 3 and so on. I hope by the end of 2025 to have all books in the series for both D100 Dungeon and D100 Space fully published through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).
